The 14th Edition of the Maghreb International Film Festival Commences
The 14th edition of the Maghreb International Film Festival officially began on Mon, Oct 1, 2025, at the Mohammed VI Theater in Oujda, Morocco. The festival is held under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.
Theme and Objectives
This year’s festival theme, “From Cinema Screens, Bridges Are Built and Stories Are Told,” highlights the role of cinema in promoting cultural dialogue and creative exchange among Maghreb countries and beyond.
Festival Program
The program includes a diverse range of film screenings, intellectual forums, and training workshops. The event will also feature tributes to notable cinematic figures, such as Moroccan actor Rabie Kati.
Rabie Kati, being honored this year, mentioned that this recognition is “both an encouragement and a recognition of an artistic journey defined by deliberate creative choices and a commitment to a specific artistic approach.”
