Security Incident in Zamfara State, Nigeria

A security incident occurred on Thu, Oct 5, 2023, in Zamfara state’s Tsafe area, resulting in the deaths of eight individuals. The attack took place on the Gusau-Funtua road and involved gunmen ambushing security personnel. Among the deceased are five police officers and three members of a local paramilitary group collaborating with the police. This information was confirmed by the state’s governor, Dauda Lawal.
