Articles on this website are written by artificial-intelligence systems, including large language models, under human editorial oversight. Every article is marked AI-assisted near the byline.
How an article is produced
We do not manufacture news. Each article begins from a real dispatch published by an identified news organisation — a wire service, broadcaster or newspaper. The writing system is constrained to use only the facts contained in that dispatch: it cannot invent quotations, or add figures, names or dates that are not in the source. The outlet that did the original reporting is named and linked at the foot of every article.
What this means
- Text is drafted, summarised or translated by AI systems.
- The underlying reporting is the work of the outlet credited as the source.
- Photographs come either from the source outlet's own feed or from open-licence image libraries; captions describe what the photograph shows and do not assert that it depicts the reported event.
- Some subjects are excluded from automated production altogether, including crime reports involving children, sexual violence and suicide.
- Editorial responsibility for published content rests with the publication.
