Anthony Joshua relocates to Dubai as 'millionaire exodus' hits UK

British-Nigerian boxer Anthony Joshua is now a resident of Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This move coincides with a period where some expatriates are exiting the region due to geopolitical tensions.

Dubai does not impose income tax, making it an attractive destination for high-net-worth individuals aiming to reduce their tax liabilities. Joshua's business interests are valued at approximately $160 million, which could result in significant tax savings.

The UK's Office for Budget Responsibility (OBR) projects that up to 50,000 individuals, predominantly British nationals, may emigrate annually. This trend, often referred to as a "millionaire exodus," saw approximately 257,000 British nationals leaving the UK in the year ending December 2024, as reported by the Office for National Statistics.

Anthony Joshua is a two-time heavyweight boxing champion with Nigerian heritage. He also holds Nigerian nationality.
