Brahim Díaz has advanced Morocco's title aspirations in the Africa Cup of Nations. Morocco secured a 1-0 victory against Tanzania on Sunday, maintaining their position in the competition. Meanwhile, Cameroon, a five-time winner, defeated South Africa 2-1, setting up a quarterfinal match with the host nation.
Díaz's performance was instrumental, marking his fourth goal in four matches. The victory was celebrated by fans at Rabat’s nearly 70,000-capacity Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium, where Morocco will continue to play as long as they progress towards the final scheduled for Thu, Jan 18, 2024.

Cameroon achieved their first win over South Africa since 1992 with goals from Junior Tchamadeu and Christian Kofane. Tchamadeu scored the opening goal in the 34th minute following a defensive lapse by South Africa. Kofane extended the lead in the 47th minute with a header from a cross by Aboubakar Nagida. South Africa's late response came from Evidence Makgopa in the 88th minute, which proved insufficient to change the outcome.
