Security Deployment for Upcoming Elections in Central African Republic
Reinforcements from the Central African Armed Forces (FACA) have been deployed to the Vakaga region on Tue, Dec 16, 2025, to enhance security for the upcoming elections. This deployment is part of the Integrated Election Security Plan (PISE), facilitated by the United Nations peacekeeping mission, MINUSCA, which provided air transport for the troops.
The Central African Republic is scheduled to conduct presidential, parliamentary, and municipal elections on Sun, Dec 28, 2025. These municipal elections are the first to be held in several decades.
Reinforcements from the Central African Armed Forces (FACA) have been deployed to the Vakaga region on Tue, Dec 16, 2025, to enhance security for the upcoming elections.
