Following his visit to Ethiopia, Foreign Minister Wang Yi's tour will continue to Somalia, Tanzania, and Lesotho. The objective of the tour is to deepen political mutual trust and enhance exchanges and mutual learning with these nations.
China remains Africa's leading business partner, with trade reaching $296 billion in 2024. The continent has been the destination of the Chinese foreign minister's first overseas visit each year for nearly four decades.
