Presidential Race Developments in Central African Republic
On Wednesday, Anicet-Georges Dologuelé was nominated as a presidential candidate by his party, the Union for Central African Renewal (URCA), during an extraordinary congress in Bangui. This decision was made despite the opposition coalition BRDC, of which URCA is a member, stating its intention to boycott the upcoming December election.
Following Dologuelé's nomination, the BRDC announced that URCA would be excluded from the coalition. URCA has expressed its determination to work towards removing the current regime and establishing a constitution that better serves the Central African people.
