Moritz Kretschy, representing Germany, completed the 2026 Tour du Rwanda with a total distance of 997.8 km in a time of 23:08:48. Despite not winning any individual stages, Kretschy's strategic approach and the support of the NSN Development Team enabled him to maintain a two-minute lead over his compatriot Johannes Adamietz.
Kretschy highlighted the collective effort of his team, stating, "We really deserved it because we were actually the strongest team, and it was a team effort." The NSN team's strategy was pivotal in securing the yellow jersey for Kretschy.

Kretschy, aged 23, demonstrated strategic control over the peloton after acquiring the yellow jersey following stage four in Rubavu, maintaining his lead until the end of the competition.
