The South African Weather Service has issued a maximum warning for continued rainfall, while Mozambique remains on high alert after flooding affected roads and homes.
Nine individuals lost their lives in a village in Limpopo province, near Kruger National Park. Approximately 200 people have been rescued, with operations involving the South African National Defence Force. In Mpumalanga province, 19 people have died since November. A woman's body was recovered from a river on Thursday.
