This past weekend, heavy rainfall resulted in substantial flood damage in the Moroccan province of Nador. The northeastern coastal city experienced 66 millimeters of rain within 24 hours, leading to streets, homes, and vehicles being submerged.
The flooding occurred as rainwater accumulated in dry valleys and creeks, causing overflow. Local residents reported that three wadis, Wad Imouadan, Wad Trougout, and Wad Bou-brahm, contributed to the water overflowing in the area.
