A delegation from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) is scheduled to visit Libreville next month as Gabon seeks assistance in implementing a reform program.
Gabon has not formally requested a loan from the IMF. However, Finance Minister Thierry Minko stated that technical and institutional discussions with the IMF have intensified.
An IMF spokesperson indicated that the February visit will focus on assessing Gabon's macroeconomic and fiscal developments and discussing policy and reform plans with the authorities.
