Indonesian weightlifter Rizki Juniansyah set two world records while winning gold in the men’s 79-kilogram category at the 2025 Southeast Asian Games in Thailand.
Juniansyah achieved a clean and jerk lift of 205 kilograms, surpassing the previous record of 204 kilograms he set at the 2025 World Championships in October. Along with a 160-kilogram snatch, he established a new world-record total of 365 kilograms in the 79-kilogram class. This surpasses the previous total of 362 kilograms set by Egypt’s Abdelrahman Younes at the Islamic Solidarity Games.
The competitions were held at the Chonburi Sports School in Thailand, where Juniansyah's combined total of 365 kilograms secured his dominant field performance on Monday, December 15, 2025.
