The attack occurred on Thu, causing injuries to four soldiers and damage to several aircraft at the international airport. The video allegedly depicts an explosion within a hangar containing a helicopter and another aircraft on fire, along with gunfire damage to passenger planes.
Niamey's airport serves as a critical hub, hosting military bases, the headquarters of the Niger-Burkina Faso-Mali Joint Force, and a significant uranium stockpile, which is central to a dispute with the French nuclear company Orano.
