Kenya has commenced the administration of lenacapavir, a biannual injection for HIV prevention, in Nairobi. The medication is expected to significantly aid in reducing HIV transmission rates within the country.
Lenacapavir decreases the risk of HIV transmission by over 99.9%. It is administered as an injection twice a year and is provided at no cost to eligible individuals.
