Libya's Prime Minister Abdulhamid Dbeibah has announced a reshuffle in his UN-backed government to improve performance. Dbeibah will continue to serve as the minister of defense and foreign affairs. Approximately 10 out of 27 ministerial positions have been changed to address regional differences.
Since the fall of Moamer Kadhafi in 2011, Libya has faced challenges in restoring stability. The country is divided between two governing bodies: the UN-recognized administration led by Dbeibah in Tripoli and a rival government in Benghazi under Khalifa Haftar.

Relations with key officials such as Mohamed el-Menfi, representative for Libya's three regions, and Mohamed Takala, head of the High State Council, have been strained due to the division of official posts among the western, southern, and eastern regions. Both officials were present at the first cabinet meeting following the reshuffle.
Randa Ghareb is the sole female minister, serving in the women's ministry.
