The technocratic committee will manage public services for over 2 million residents in Gaza. This will occur under the supervision of a "Board of Peace," led by US President Donald Trump. Members of this board have yet to be appointed.
Challenges to Ceasefire Implementation
Following the US announcement of the second phase initiation, the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas encounters several obstacles. These include the deployment of an international security force for supervision and the disarmament of Hamas.
The conflict has resulted in significant casualties, particularly in Gaza, with reports indicating at least 3,000 Palestinian lives lost after the October attack.
