Morocco's tourism sector achieved significant growth in 2025, welcoming 19.8 million tourists, which represents a 14 percent increase compared to the previous year, as reported by the tourism ministry.
The tourism industry is a crucial component of Morocco's economy, contributing approximately seven percent to the national GDP. It supports numerous jobs and generates valuable foreign currency.

Additionally, Morocco has prioritized investments in hotel renovations and new hotel developments to meet growing demand.
Tourism revenue experienced a notable rise, reaching 124 billion dirhams (approximately 13.5 billion dollars) between January and November. This marks a 19 percent increase compared to the previous year.
Looking forward, Morocco aims to attract 26 million tourists by 2030. The country will co-host the FIFA World Cup with Spain and Portugal, which is expected to further bolster its position as a global tourism destination.
