The statements were made on Wednesday during a joint press conference in Cairo, coinciding with Erdogan's official visit to Egypt for discussions and the signing of cooperation agreements.
Palestinian Issue and International Concerns
Erdogan highlighted that the Palestinian issue remains a priority, as humanitarian challenges persist in Gaza. Turkey and Egypt will continue their collaborative efforts towards peace in the region. Recent Israeli actions have resulted in casualties, including children.
The leaders also discussed global matters concerning Iran, Sudan, and Somaliland. They emphasized the necessity for a truce and a comprehensive peace agreement to resolve Sudan’s civil war .
Erdogan remarked on the importance of diplomacy in resolving disputes, including those related to Iran's nuclear program and criticized Israel’s recognition of Somaliland , citing Somalia’s sovereignty concerns.
