Nigeria’s NUC Grants Licence to New Omega University

The approval, which also directs the university to admit students for the ongoing academic session, was formally announced in the Nigerian capital.
Nigeria’s higher education regulator, the NUC, oversees the establishment and quality assurance of all universities in the country. Private institutions must obtain its licence before they can legally operate or award degrees.
Kaduna state, in northern Nigeria, has seen growth in its educational infrastructure in recent years as both federal and state governments seek to expand access to university education.
