Known as "Lumumba Vea," Nkuka Mboladinga mimics Lumumba's iconic statue pose in Kinshasa, raising his right arm and standing immobile throughout the matches. This act is intended to channel strength and energy to the team.

Nkuka Mboladinga has expressed the significance of Lumumba's legacy, stating, "He is a hero to us. Lumumba is a spirit, a role model for us." Lumumba is revered for his role in ending Belgian colonial rule in 1960 and becoming the first prime minister of the independent Congo. His assassination during a conflict involving a Belgian-backed secessionist movement remains a poignant aspect of Congolese history.
