The last group of 89 Christian worshippers, who were held captive following attacks on three churches in northern Nigeria in mid-January, have been released as of Thu, Jan 18, 2024.
These individuals were transported via a bus under the escort of security forces and were received by the governor of Kaduna state, Uba Sani. They represent the final group among nearly 200 individuals abducted during church services on Jan 18, 2024.
Governor Sani confirmed that all released individuals have been certified medically fit and have returned to their homes.
