Samson Adamu Named Acting General Secretary of CAF

Nigeria’s Samson Adamu has been appointed acting General Secretary of the Confederation of African Football, the body announced on 29 March 2026.

The move comes after Véron Mosengo-Omba stepped down from the role. In a press release issued from Cairo, Egypt, Mosengo-Omba confirmed his resignation after serving more than five years in the position.
