Senegal's national football team conducted a training session on Monday in preparation for their opening match against Botswana in the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) scheduled for Tuesday.
Senegal enters the tournament with an impressive record, having won all six of their qualifying matches while conceding only one goal. In their recent preparations, they secured a 3-0 victory over England in June and defeated Kenya 8-0 in their final warm-up match.
This marks Senegal's 18th appearance in the AFCON tournament. The team aims to replicate their success from 2021, when they won the championship.

Botswana, on the other hand, is seeking its first AFCON victory. The team previously lost all three matches during their sole appearance in 2012. In past encounters, Botswana faced Senegal twice in 2014, losing both matches without scoring. The upcoming match presents an opportunity for Botswana to change their record against Senegal.
The Group D match is set to commence at 4 PM local time at the Grand Stade de Tanger in Tangier.
