Tadej Pogačar Wins Second World Road Race Title
Slovenian cyclist Tadej Pogačar secured his second world road race title in Kigali on Sun, Sep 28, 2025. The event marked the first occurrence of a global cycling championship on African soil. Pogačar completed the 267.5-kilometer course in six hours, 21 minutes, and 20 seconds.
Previously the 2024 world champion in Zurich, Pogačar has now achieved the unique distinction of winning both the Tour de France and the world road race title in consecutive years.
