The Ivory Coast secured a 1-0 victory against Mozambique in their opening match of Group F at the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2025, held on Wednesday, Dec 24, 2025, in Morocco. The decisive goal was scored by Amad Diallo early in the second half.
Amad Diallo scored in the 49th minute, ensuring a three-point start for Ivory Coast. Despite creating numerous opportunities, the Ivorians were unable to extend their lead.
