The driver, Adeniyi Mobolaji Kayode, aged 46, was transporting Joshua and two acquaintances, Latif Ayodele and Sina Ghami, on a major highway connecting Lagos and Ibadan. The Lexus SUV they were traveling in collided with a stationary truck.
According to police spokesman Oluseyi Babaseyi, Kayode was granted bail set at 5 million naira ($3,480), requiring two sureties. He remains in custody until bail conditions are met. Kayode has been detained since his hospital discharge on Thursday.

Following his hospital release on Wednesday, Joshua, accompanied by his mother, visited a funeral home to pay their respects to his late friends. There is no current information on Joshua’s location.
