Kordofan has emerged as a critical battlefield in the ongoing conflict between the Sudanese army and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) since April 2023. The city of Dilling in South Kordofan experienced significant artillery fire and drone strikes throughout Thursday, resulting in 28 deaths and 60 injuries, including children and women, according to a medical source at Dilling Hospital.

In another incident, a strike attributed to the army killed 18 and injured 25 in Al-Mojlad, West Kordofan, as reported by local medical personnel.
