Furthermore, there is an increasing segregation of women in Afghanistan. As conflicts intensify, the mechanisms for protection are deteriorating.
According to remarks by UN Deputy Secretary-General Amina Mohammed, violence against women is a critical threat to both peace and development. The issue is further exacerbated by decreasing financial resources and diminishing political determination to address these challenges, highlighting a global failure to safeguard vulnerable populations.
