On Mon, Jan 31, the Libyan National Army (LNA) announced that three soldiers were killed in clashes at the border with Niger. The LNA, under the command of Khalifa Haftar, controls eastern Libya and parts of the south.
The LNA reported that the fatalities occurred during a coordinated attack executed by mercenary groups and terrorist gangs. The attacks targeted three checkpoints along the Libya-Niger border.
