In Tunisia, six humanitarian workers affiliated with the Tunisian branch of Terre d’Asile were released from detention overnight from Monday to Tuesday. These individuals were on trial for allegedly "facilitating the illegal entry and residence" of migrants.
The defense argued that these workers were aiding asylum seekers and vulnerable migrants as part of a program sanctioned by the Tunisian government.
Former director Sherifa Riahi and several colleagues had been incarcerated for over 20 months. A support committee confirmed Riahi's release, stating that other humanitarian workers were also freed.

The court issued a two-year suspended prison sentence for the detained individuals, including Sherifa Riahi. Lawyer Mahmoud Daoud Yaacoub mentioned that further rulings concerning other defendants would be announced the following day.
Additional defendants include 17 members of the municipal council in Sousse, who are accused of permitting the NGO to utilize municipal facilities.
