CAF President Patrice Motsepe has confirmed that there will be no changes to the tournament dates, emphasizing its role as a qualifying event for the 2027 Women's World Cup in Brazil. This situation has created a challenging environment for the qualifying teams, who face logistical uncertainties.
In response, South Africa has offered to host the tournament, with its sports minister expressing readiness to take over, citing concerns over Morocco's preparedness with only 13 days left before the event.
