Museveni Hails Strengthening Uganda-China Relations

Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni has said that relations between Uganda and China have continued to grow stronger in recent years.

In a statement issued by the State House, Museveni expressed appreciation for the steady development of ties with Beijing. He noted that China's zero-tariff policy for African countries would support Uganda's efforts to increase its exports to the world's second-largest economy.

For Uganda, expanding exports is a key priority. The country produces agricultural goods and other commodities that could benefit from reduced trade barriers in major markets like China.
